Reframe your writing process
For this course, you’ll take a step back from traditional approaches to writing, and reshape how you think about the whole writing process. It’s strategy first. Creativity second.
You know you’re providing all of the information, in an interesting way, in a number of places, and in a consistent manner. So why does it feel like things still aren’t landing? It’s not because your writing isn’t creative enough, or punchy, or grammatically correct. It’s because you’re not clear on what you’re really trying to achieve, and don’t know enough about who you’re talking to to achieve it.
By cultivating your strategic writing mindset and adding it to your already established creative one, you’ll take your writing to a whole new level.
At the end of this course you’ll be able to:
- Set strategic objectives for your writing.
- Identify what creative direction(s) will best serve those objectives.
- Understand why tone of voice matters.
- Explore the roles that headlines and content structure play.
- Practice what you’re learning on a working case study.
